Golf Apparel Fitting Guide

Donald Ross Sportswear started out selling our original Classic apparel exclusively to country clubs throughout the United States. As the company expanded so did our customer following, inspiring us to cater to an audience that enjoys a more athletic cut.

Thus, the launch of our Sport line. Our Sport products offer a more trim, closer to body, tailored look while our Classic style is a gentleman’s fit that provides more space in the body and generous sleeves for relaxed shaping. Both lines boast a wide variety of eye-catching colors, unique prints, and tasteful stripes; and each fit provides options for all body types and style preferences.

CLASSIC FIT

Meet Adam, seen on the right here. He is wearing our Classic Fit polo in size medium. Adam is normally a size large in other brands, but due to our looser and more comfortable fit, in Donald Ross classic products he wears a medium.

Adam is 5’7″ and 200 Ibs 

Keep in mind that our Classic Fit allows extra room and length in the sleeve and torso of the product as well as the collar. This means that you usually can size down 1 size compared to what you typically wear in other
brands.

SPORT FIT

Meet Tommy, seen on the left here. He is wearing our Sport Fit polo in size medium and also is normally a size medium in other brands. 

Tommy is 6’0″ and 195 Ibs 

Keep in mind that our Sport Fit does not have the extra room and length in the sleeve and torso of the product that the Classic fit does. So if you normally shop our classic and wear a size Medium in Classic, then you are likely a large in Sport. 

If you have never shopped with us
before, our Sport Fit is similar to other polo companies so if you normally wear a large, then you are likely a large in our Sport Fit but a medium in our Classic fit.
